Timotea Fournol
Bio
Director, videographer, and drone pilot based in Clermont-Ferrand, Timothée Fournol brings ten years of experience in audiovisual production. Founder of Timagin Production, he has shaped his vision through a wide diversity of formats: from corporate films to committed documentaries, including reporting in hostile environments. His collaboration with Sea Shepherd aboard the John Paul Dejoria vessel testifies to his ability to capture urgency and emotion under extreme conditions.
Beyond technique—which he masters from aerial cinematography to color grading—Timothée is above all an observer of temporary collective spaces. His feature-length documentary, Utopies Éphémères: L'Histoire d'Hadra (2024), illustrates his central quest: understanding how a group becomes more than the sum of its parts. Passionate about artistic synergy and communal living, he uses his camera as a tool for sociological and poetic inquiry. For him, every project is an opportunity to magnify the invisible—that tenuous bond uniting individuals within a community—while offering a spectacular dimension through aerial shots that redefine our perception of space.
Residency project
For his residency at Rocabella, Timothée Fournol seeks to continue his exploration of 'ephemeral utopias' by placing the estate at the heart of a hybrid creative project. Within this Riviera sanctuary, he plans to document the life of the domain not as a mere backdrop, but as a space of artistic synergy where the energies of the residents converge. His goal is to film the birth of human connection in this exceptional setting, capturing moments of sharing, doubt, and creation.
Thanks to his expertise as a drone pilot, Timothée will bring a vertical dimension to the Rocabella narrative. He plans to use his aerial lenses to juxtapose the architecture of the villas and the geometry of the Mediterranean gardens with the vastness of the sea. These spectacular images will serve as a counterpoint to the intimate sequences filmed on the ground, creating a dialogue between the majesty of the place and the fragility of lived moments. This residency project aims to produce an immersive short film—a sensitive portrait of the estate where cutting-edge technology serves an organic narrative. At Rocabella, Timothée Fournol seeks to immortalize this enchanted interlude where art and community become one.
