Roberto Bello

Roberto Bello is a Cuban pianist and musicologist, trained in Havana. Based in Paris since 2023, he works across performance, teaching and musical creation.

Roberto Bello’s project at La Rocabella is built around two main strands.

The first is a creative partnership with Ebane, a singer and Pax Musica laureate. Together, they explore forms of artistic collaboration around her songs, crafting original arrangements that put voice and piano in dialogue. The work is grounded in mutual listening, sonic research and the building of a shared musical universe.

The second strand is devoted to Cuban music: reinterpreting and arranging pieces from a range of Cuban genres, both popular and classical. Roberto Bello brings a personal approach, tinged with jazz and open to improvisation, revisiting these repertoires through his own pianistic language.
