Maxime Raussin

Bio

Videographer, cinematographer, and seasoned editor, Maxime Raussin has established himself over six years as a complete image creator, capable of intervening at every stage of the production chain. His international career, marked by an immersion at Studio Réverbère in Montreal and significant experiences in Paris (StudioM, Télé Paris), has allowed him to forge sharp technical expertise. Equally proficient with DSLRs, lighting, audio mixing, and motion design, he envisions video as a holistic work where technique fades in favor of emotion.

A specialist in editing and post-production, Maxime possesses an innate sense of rhythm and visual texture. His showreel demonstrates an ability to capture the energy of reality while injecting a sophisticated aesthetic dimension. For him, filming is not limited to recording movement; it is sculpting light and organizing time to tell impactful stories. Drawing on his versatility, he navigates between documentary, institutional content, and pure creation, bringing to each project a technical rigor and artistic sensitivity nourished by his transatlantic collaborations.

Residency project

For his residency at Rocabella, Maxime Raussin teams up with Léo de Broc to produce the documentary project 'Les Gardiennes de la Mer' (Guardians of the Sea). This ambitious film focuses on female freediving, exploring the intimate and powerful relationship between women and the liquid element. As cinematographer and editor, the challenge for Maxime is to transcend athletic performance to reveal its poetic and metaphysical dimension.

The project relies on breathtaking underwater imagery captured in the blue depths of the Mediterranean bordering the estate. Maxime will leverage his expertise in lighting and image management under challenging conditions to convey the grace and resilience of these coastal 'guardians.' The residency at Rocabella will create a striking contrast between the architectural majesty of the villas and the silent immensity of the deep. This documentary does not merely document a discipline; it stages an inner journey where mastery of breath becomes a metaphor for the preservation of our marine environment. Through fluid editing and refined artistic direction, Maxime Raussin aspires to deliver an immersive visual work that celebrates the force of life in all its forms.
