Christophe Henry
Bio
Born in Quebec, Christophe Henry has lived and worked in Paris for over twenty years. He studied photography at the Université de Montréal before pursuing a degree in cinema in Paris. He began his professional career in the late 1990s as a unit stills photographer, quickly collaborating with several French productions while developing a sustained practice in architectural, corporate, and event photography.
His personal work revolves around two core themes: people and architecture. His portfolio spans a wide range of genres, from portraiture and fashion to sports reportage, dance, and travel. This versatility fuels a distinctive eye, equally at ease on a film set and in a football stadium, with the same exacting standards of composition and light.
Since 2015, he has served as Media Manager for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches at the LFP (French Professional Football League), where he oversees all media operations (photography and audiovisual) in coordination with clubs, journalists, and broadcasters. He has also worked with HBS (Host Broadcast Services) on major international sporting events.
Residency project
In 2025, La Rocabella will launch a photography residency program. As the lead photographer, I will mentor four artists with diverse creative backgrounds around a shared theme: “Guardians of the Sea.”
My role will be to guide them in their research and support them in developing their projects—whether artistic or documentary—by providing tailored guidance.
The residents will have the opportunity to work independently while also being encouraged to exchange and collaborate with other artists in residence at La Rocabella.
The program will culminate in a collective exhibition, giving the photographers significant visibility and the opportunity to showcase their work to a broad audience.
