Alexis Pivot Is a composer, pianist, artistic director, and actor, born in 1987 And based in paris. Shaped from an early age by both theatre and music, he has developed a singular practice at the crossroads of Performing Arts and Sound Creation, where musical composition, acting, and artistic direction continuously inform one another.

As a Pianist, he explores a wide and eclectic repertoire spanning Classical music, jazz, and contemporary popular forms, with a marked taste for improvisation and hybrid artistic formats. This stylistic openness feeds directly into his work as a Compose, for which he creates music for Live Performance, Screen, and Interdisciplinary Projects. His compositional approach centres on the dramaturgy of sound and the relationships between text, body, and space.

As an Artistic director Based in Paris, Alexis Pivot Brings Together Musicians, Actors, and Creators Around Ambitious yet accessible stage forms, making each project a space of genuine interdisciplinary encounter. His dual identity as musician and Actor Allows him to approach the stage from within the performance itself, giving his music a strongly Narrative and embodied quality. His work unfolds at the intersection of concert, musical theatre, and performance — where music becomes body, story, and living presence.

As part of the artistic residency Les Gardiennes de la Mer at the Rocabella Residences, Alexis Pivot invests the coastal territory as a dramaturgical space in its own right. For an artist whose practice has always been built on the border between sound, body and story, the sea is an exceptionally rich terrain: a space of tension and calm, of silence and noise, it carries within itself a natural dramaturgy that his sensitivity as a composer and actor can only question.

This time of residence offers him the opportunity to withdraw from the rhythm of Parisian creation to explore new forms at the crossroads of concert, performance and documentary film. Far from the constraints of the institutional scene, Alexis Pivot lets the elements — light, wind, murmur of the waves — enter his composition, feeding a freer musical style.
